For many years, Greg has been closely following the development of the 40-acre Earl's Court site which is located on the border of the Chelsea and Fulham constituency. He knows that any future proposals will have a big impact on the local area and community.
That is why he has put together a new survey, so that he can hear your views.
Take Greg’s survey here and answer questions like:
- What outcomes would residents like from the development?
- What type of housing would residents like to see?
- How important is building height?
Greg frequently meets with the Earl's Court Development Company (ECDC), the developers responsible for driving the development of the site, to receive updates on their plans and has viewed their models of the site.
Greg welcomes many aspects of their proposed development including:
- 4,000 much needed new homes.
- Fantastic cultural and employment opportunities
- The focus on ensuring the site is eco-friendly.
However, Greg is really concerned that the ECDC is proposing a cluster of skyscrapers, up to 42 storeys high. This would change our community forever.
The area is not dominated by skyscrapers; on the contrary, our skyline features the stand-alone, historic, and iconic Empress State Building, which is 31 storeys. Therefore, a cluster of skyscrapers up to 42 storeys in height is wholly wrong.
