It is an honour and a privilege to be back as MP representing Chelsea & Fulham, with an increased vote and increased majority. Thanks to my small army of supporters, and most of all the good people of Chelsea & Fulham.
On 21 October, Hammersmith and Fulham Council closed Harwood Terrace to vehicles. This was the Council’s chosen decision to deal with longstanding complaints by local residents about rat-running along this street.
It is now over six months since Hammersmith Bridge was closed suddenly on 10th April, and Hammersmith & Fulham Council (LBH&F) and Transport for London (TfL) have made very slow progress in getting it fixed and reopened.
Since the defeat of the May-Barnier agreement for the third time in March 2019, I have been the co-Chairman of the independent Alternative Arrangements Commission, working tirelessly on a set of proposals that all sides could agree on to replace the Northern Ireland Backstop.
My position on Brexit has been clear since 2016. I led the Remain campaign in Chelsea & Fulham before the June referendum, but since then have been determined to respect the result of the Referendum and work to seek an exit deal with the European Union.
On 3 September, Greg hosted a public meeting at St. Etheldreda’s Church, Fulham with representatives from Heathrow Airport to discuss their latest consultation concerning airport infrastructure and operations.
