Greg Hands played a key role in the General Election as the Conservative Party’s Deputy Chief Whip, being based at Conservative Campaign Headquarters, running Action Days, battle buses and helping orchestrate the national campaign, whilst never neglecting the local campaign in Chelsea & Fulham.Along with other local Conservatives, Cllr Greg Smith and former Council Leader, Stephen Greenhalgh, Greg travelled the region on behalf of local Conservative candidates, often accompanied by local Chelsea resident, staunch Conservative supporter and former England footballer, Sol Campbell.

Greg Hands attends commemoration service for Fulham war hero awarded the Victoria Cross

Greg Hands this week attended a memorial service in Fulham to mark the awarding of the Victoria Cross in 1915 to Private Edward Dwyer, a former resident of Fulham.Edward Dwyer was born in Cassidy Road on 25th November 1895. After an education of St Thomas of Canterbury School in Estcourt Road, Fulham, he joined the 1st Battalion, East Surry Regiment.
