Hands backs call to extend Super Sewer consultation

Greg Hands M.P., Mayor Boris Johnson and Hammersmith & Fulham Council have joined forces to call for the Super Sewer consultation to be extended. Other areas named during phase one have had 18 months to organise their case, unlike those living on and around Carnwath Road, which was identified as Thames Water’ preferred site in November.

Hands: High Speed 2 great news for West London

Greg Hands M.P. has welcomed the Government’s announcement that HS2 will go ahead, with Old Oak in Hammersmith & Fulham confirmed as the key London interchange. The route will link London to the West Midlands and the north of England, adding up to 26,000 more seats for rail passengers and slashing journey times by as much as half.

Putting patients before paperwork in Chelsea and Fulham

Public Meeting on Hammersmith Flyover Closure

Mary Macleod, Conservative M.P. for Chiswick, has organised a public meeting tomorrow, Saturday, January 14, at West London Free School, in Cambridge Grove, Hammersmith, from 2pm till 3pm, to discuss the closure of Hammersmith Flyover.Residents will have the chance to put questions to TfL’s director of public affairs and stakeholder engagement, David McNeill, about the road. Cllr Nick Botterill, Deputy Leader of H&F Council, will also be there.

Fulham F.C. submits planning application

Fulham Football Club has this week submitted a planning application to increase capacity at home ground, Craven Cottage, from 25,700 to 30,000.

Hands slams Thames Water over failure to consider Super Sewer impact on schools

Greg Hands M.P. has condemned Thames Water for failing to include any local state schools in its ‘Environmental Information Report’ on the Super Sewer. Despite producing a 355 page appendix on its proposed main bore site in Fulham’s Carnwath Road, the only school referred to in the document is Thomas’s Fulham Preparatory School on Hugon Road.
