That is why charity and campaign groups, such as the Children’s Heart Federation and Little Hearts Matter, back the change.

H&F Action on Disability gets new Big Society funding

Greg Hands M.P. has welcomed the news that money from the Government’s Big Society Transition Fund will support the local voluntary sector. The funding, part of the third wave of payouts from the £107 million Transition Fund, is being paid out to Hammersmith and Fulham Action for Disability (HAFAD).Although three quarters of charities receive no public funding, the Government is determined to protect those charities, such as HAFAD, which are most vulnerable to public spending cuts.

Protecting our NHS for tomorrow

Greg Hands MP has welcomed the Prime Minister’s speech on the future of the NHS, which set out his five personal "guarantees" on reform of the health service.

Greg's speech at the unveiling of Chopin statue in London

A statue of Polish composer Fryderyk Chopin has been unveiled outside the Royal Festival Hall after more than two decades in storage.  Greg Hands M.P. represented the Government at the occasion, delivering the following speech:First, can I give my apologies for the Minister for Europe, David Lidington, who has been unavoidably detained elsewhere.Second, can I give my thanks on behalf of the Government to all those who have made today possible, including the Polish Heritage Society, the Royal Festival Hall, the Polish Embassy and its excellent Ambassador, and the Chopin Society.

Hands: Labour’s denial on Immigration

Greg Hands MP was surprised to hear Labour leader Ed Miliband admit that he would still like to see more immigration into the UK. Even though under Labour immigration rocketed (with net migration at a record 2.2 million people – twice the population of Birmingham) the Labour leader refused to admit that the last government had let too many people into the country.
